Annual Meeting & Campaign Celebration 2011

On Thursday, April 7th almost 350 community members gathered for the United Way of Tri-County’s Annual Meeting and Campaign Celebration!

President Paul Mina gave an update on the impact the United Way’s support has had on the needs of the community. Despite the troubling economy and growing needs of MetroWest families, the United Way of Tri-County and their supporters have been able to have a significant and necessary impact in the areas of Basic Needs, Education, Health, and Financial Stability. In 2010 the United Way of Tri-County invested over $3.1 million in our community.

Paul Mina also announced the upcoming opening of the United Way’s new Food Security Initiative, scheduled for July 2011. This initiative will take an inclusive, community-wide approach to providing access to food and other social services for those in need. As part of the initiative the United Way of Tri-County will open the Pearl Street Cabinet and Café, a food pantry and hot meals program right here in Framingham. Learn more -->
