Metrowest Women's Alliance

Connecting women and girls in the MetroWest area by providing them with the vision and skills to become leaders.

The United Way of Tri-County and Metrowest Chamber of Commerce have collaborated to create a unique initiative to benefit all women and girls in the MetroWest community.

Our Mission

To bring women and girls of various backgrounds together to foster leadership and philanthropic efforts by engaging, educating and providing the resources for empowerment.

Our Success:

Scholarships
The creation of the MetroWest Women’s Alliance/Carmela Hilbert Scholarship with the Framingham State University Foundation. The annual scholarship will benefit two women who are immigrants to the United States or who are the daughters of such immigrants, ensuring two women a full opportunity to graduate from a four year educational institution.
Five partial scholarships are awarded annually to 5 young women who will be attending Massachusetts Bay Community College.
Mini-Grant Program
MetroWest Women’s Alliance mini-grants are available for activities or events offered by non-profit 501(c) (3) organizations who promote economic self-sufficiency and empowerment for women and girls. Mini-grant applications are available in the spring and fall of each year.
