Direct Services

United Way Distribution Services

Many United Ways recognize the value of Product Philanthropy as a direct service program of local United Way organizations. That's why we have created United Way Distribution Services (UWDS) to serve the Product Philanthropy needs of the United Way System in Central New England. This program will serve donor companies who support United Way and wish to donate good quality used items like office furniture, computers, supplies, etc. and at the same time benefit our community partner agencies who are always in need of important supplies. This is a robust program that collects and distributes products from Gifts in Kind International and local companies and institutions throughout Central New England.

Current Service Areas

  • North Central Massachusetts (Greater Fitchburg/Leominster)
  • Massachusetts Bay & Merrimack Valley (Greater Boston & Lowell/Lawrence)
  • The Metrowest/495 Corridor (Framingham, Marlborough, Milford, Clinton and Norwood)
  • Greater Manchester New Hampshire

Call 211 for Help

Every day, someone somewhere in Massachusetts needs to find essential community services, from finding an after school program, locating a food bank, or securing care for an aging parent. MASS 2-1-1 is a statewide collaboration of local United Ways and the Massachusetts Association of Information and Referral Specialists (MAIRS) that recognize the need for people to access accurate information in non-emergency  situations.
