Framingham State University Partnership

The United Way of Tri-County and Framingham State University formed a partnership in 2007 to present numerous volunteer opportunities to students and faculty members through our partner agencies. This year we are hoping to spread the word even more about our partnership and encourage students and faculty to get involved in our communities and become active members who make a difference.

Our 75 years of experience tells us it takes a whole community working together to have lasting impact. That's why we're connected to all of our communities through business, government, faith groups, schools, agencies, and ordinary citizens.

Find a volunteer opportunity now!

 2010

Framingham State University's Office of Human Resources, in partnership with Student Involvement and Leadership (SILD) and the United Way, hosted their annual Summer Day of Caring Service Project.

This year they volunteered to spread mulch on the playground at the Mary E. Stapleton Elementary School in Framingham.

Volunteer opportunites have included:

November 21st, students raked leaves for those in need, such as the elderly and disabled individuals, through Jewish Family Services.

October 3rd, students prepared a brunch and decorated the SMOC Clinton Street Family Shelter with Halloween decorations.

October 15th, the SILD office prepared a delicious chicken parm dinner for adults with developmental disabilities at an Advocates residential home.
