Jack's Abby United Way 5k

I’m Sandy Baldi, Special Events Manager at the United Way of Tri-County. I wanted to update you on our 4th Annual United Way 5K fundraiser on Saturday, October 12. We’re thrilled that Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers is our title sponsor again this year and hosting the race at their brewery (100 Clinton Street, Framingham).

Together, families, businesses, co-workers and friends will gather at 10:00am and run a 3.1 mile loop that starts and ends at Jack’s Abby, all while supporting several critical programs of the United Way. Each runner selects the program they would like to support when registering including hunger relief, suicide prevention, or early literacy.

Runners can expect to receive a comfy long sleeve t-shirt, and participants 21+ will receive one complimentary Jack’s Abby lager after the race as part of their registration fee. There will be music, a free photo booth complements of the MetroWest Medical Center, vendors, and prizes for the top male and female winners in eight age categories. Awards will also be presented to the top male and female winner overall, and prizes for the top individual and team fundraisers!

Runners who decide to stay and enjoy lunch should note that Jack’s Abby will also be donating a portion of all food sales on race day back to the United Way.

The event this year will be capped at 600 runners and as of this posting, there are just under 100 bibs left. If you’d like to participate in this exciting event, don’t delay. Online registration is $30 and will be remain open through noon on Thursday, October 10 or until the last bib is sold. Race day registration for any remaining places will be $35.
