Marlborough, MA: Jersey Mike’s Subs collected 300 pounds of food, which benefited United Way of Tri-County’s (UWTC) Marlborough Community Cupboard. Participants received a free regular sub with a donation of two non-perishable food items. Jersey Mike’s believes that making a sub sandwich and making a difference can be one and the same.
“As part of our grand opening earlier this year, we were proud to support the United Way of Tri-County’s Marlborough Community Cupboard with a free sub fundraiser,” said David McBride, Vice President of Food and Beverage for Jersey Mike’s Marlborough franchise-owner Mohegan Holding Company, LLC . “It is our privilege to continue to partner with such a worthy cause and to help support the Marlborough community with a successful food drive. We look forward to continuing to work together in the future.”
Jersey Mike’s partnered with UWTC’s Marlborough Community Cupboard in the hopes that customers from the local community would donate canned goods. UWTC was overwhelmed at the generosity of all those individuals who donated canned goods and the support of Jersey Mike’s. “We are grateful not only to Jersey Mike’s for their support, but also to the entire community that came out and donated food on Saturday,” said President and CEO Paul Mina.
