Turning 'Hunger into Hope' with $50K in donations

Clients receive food a the Pearl Street Cupboard
These two families in need are happy to receive nutritious food at the Pearl Street Cupboard & Café during the Spring campaign.

We're thrilled to announce our spring fundraising campaign, Turning Hunger into Hope, raised over $50,000 for local food security programs here at the United Way.

Thank you to our valued partner National Grid and thank you to our donors who contributed during our spring campaign. We stretch every dollar donated to provide filling meals and carts full of groceries for all the individuals and families we serve, including those who just need help during the summer when they don't have access to free school meals.

Inflation has been driving more and more clients to our food pantries, so we're counting on donations more than ever. Feed-a-Family, our largest fundraiser of the year, will kick off in September and run through the holiday season.
