How long have you been working at WHEAT?

November 27, 2019 was my one year anniversary!

What is your role at WHEAT?

Food Pantry Coordinator and Kitchen Cook.

What is a typical day like for you at WHEAT?

Not every day is typical!! Typically, I will go to the stores to pick up products like meats, bread and pastries, and prepared foods. Certain days I will also pick up produce! I also do the grocery shopping for the Café. I go weekly to the Worcester County Food Bank and pick up between 6000-8000 pounds of food on Mondays. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday I am running the food pantry. This may entail providing food to clients, preparing bags or receiving more products from donors. Two nights a week I cook in the Café.

What is your favorite part of working for WHEAT?

My favorite part is my co-workers and volunteers, I feel like we have become a small family!! It makes the daily grind worth it!

What do you like to do outside of work?

Eat! I love to go out to eat and experience different food from different cultures!!!! I also enjoy musical bingo and singing from my chair!!!!!

Do you do something to give back to your community? If so, can you tell us about it?

I am in my fourth year of coaching cheerleading for the Clinton Youth Cheer and Football organization. I am also on the local board as co-coordinator for cheer!
