WZLX and Nissan 24 collected food and toys at the WZLX Joy Drive. Radio personality Pete McKenzie was there to greet donors as they stopped by to drop off a donation. The food and toys collected will benefit our food pantries and the Hope for the Holidays gift program.

Mark and Mocha made a stop at Pearl Street Cupboard & Café as they travel across Massachusetts bringing attention to the need for food in the United States. The United Way of Tri-County provided over 150 literacy kits to the MetroWest YMCA to use for programs serving young children. Each literacy kit includes a book and a related activity aimed to foster early literacy, interactive learning, and development. Literacy kits are assembled by volunteers from local companies who support the United Way’s efforts in promoting education and early literacy in our communities.
Hi, my name is Oreste. I live in Lancaster and I started working at WHEAT under a grant through MassHire and SnapChef to help non-profits keep up with the demand of COVID-19. Initially I helped in the Café by prepping, packaging and delivering meals to the housing authorities in Clinton and Lancaster. Over the last month, I have worked as a Food Pantry Coordinator at the WHEAT Community Cupboard.
