United Way Seeking 2019 ATHENA Leadership Nominees

FRAMINGHAM – Nominations are now being accepted for the 2019 ATHENA Leadership Award ® .
 
The Athena Leadership Award ® , which is bestowed locally by United Way of Tri-County (UWTC), will be awarded to a prominent leader in the MetroWest region who has volunteered to assist women and/or girls in achieving their full leadership potential outside of their daily job responsibilities.
 

Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers and United Way Team Up for Annual 5K Run

FRAMINGHAM – Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers has teamed up with the United Way of Tri-County (UTWC) to sponsor the 3 rd Annual 5K Run/Walk fundraiser on Saturday, October 13.
 
The Jack’s Abby/United Way 5K will have a new home at the Jack’s Abby Craft Lager Brewery and Beer Hall located at 100 Clinton Street in Framingham.
 
With this new home also comes a new route for participants and a new 10 a.m. start time.
 

St. Mary’s Credit Union Supporting United Way’s Pearl Street Cupboard As Part Of Its Framingham Branch Grand Opening

FRAMINGHAM –  St. Mary’s Credit Union is opening a new branch at the intersection of Route 9  and Temple Street in September. 
 
As a financial institution known for supporting its local communities – the credit union today, August 14, announced it will donate $100 to the United Way of Tri-County’s Pearl Street Cupboard & Café for every new account opened at the branch during their grand opening up to a total of $20,000.
 

WHEAT receives funds for senior transportation

CLINTON — WHEAT Community Connections recently got a grant from the Greater Worcester Community Foundation as part of the Worcester County Food Bank Fund to End Hunger.
 
The fund is focused on projects that offer sustainable solutions addressing hunger through advocacy and programs that incorporate best practices.
 
According to the agency, the funds are to make the WHEAT program more accessible for elderly residents.
