Guide to Getting Through COVID-19

 
 
There’s a lot of advice out there on how to keep your life as normal as possible during these unprecedented times we are living in. Here are tips on how to help reduce stress, support the community, keep kids busy, and get work done: 
 
Practice these daily to destress
Keep a regular schedule
Maintain a healthy diet, exercise regularly and get plenty of sleep
Connect with friends and loved ones (virtually through video chats, by phone, or send a note in the mail)
Dedicate some time every day to self-care
Meditate or pray
Unplug
Read or watch a movie
Clean your house or do some gardening
Cook or bake
Walk the dog
 
Support the local community
Order take out from your favorite restaurant
Buy gift cards to your favorite restaurants and stores
If you’re healthy, volunteer 
Offer to shop for elderly neighbors or at-risk family or friends
Wear a face covering when appropriate
Donate money for food to your local food pantry. You can donate to our your local food pantry here

If you’re working in an office: 
Thoroughly wash hands throughout the day for at least 20 seconds (sing Happy Birthday twice)
Don’t touch your face, eyes, or mouth
Don’t shake hands with others
Maintain social distancing of at least 6’ from co-workers whenever possible and wear a face covering when appropriate
Regularly clean doorknobs, door handles, light switches, and elevator buttons that are high-touch surfaces
Use a paper towel to turn faucets on and off, to open bathroom doors, etc. 
Stay home if you don’t feel well!
 
If you’re working from home: 
Set up a designated work area

Don’t touch your face, eyes, or mouth
Maintain social distancing of at least 6’ from people who do not live in your home
Regularly clean doorknobs, door handles, light switches, and kitchen counters that are high-touch surfaces
 
Ask for help if you’re feeling overwhelmed or depressed
