SUDBURY, MA — A Sudbury-based foundation that provides grants to social service nonprofits in the area has awarded local organizations with close to $900,000 for a variety of efforts.

The Sudbury Foundation periodically distributes grants to local organizations, particularly those focused on food insecurity and issues affecting children and families. The new round of grants will support local efforts like SMILE Mass and Gifts of Hope Unlimited, plus regional organizations like the MetroWest Free Medical Program and Hoops and Homework in Framingham.

“The Sudbury Foundation is delighted to support a such wide range of organizations and projects with our most recent round of funding. This year, in addition to our Children Youth and Family Capacity Building and Youth Emotional Well-Being grants, we also awarded three Children Youth and Family multi-year invitation grants.
