St. Mary's Credit Union has opened its eighth banking location at a former TD Bank branch in Framingham.

The location, at 1255 Worcester Road (Route 9), joins existing St. Mary's locations in Hudson, Marlborough, Northborough and Westborough. The Marlborough-based credit union has $854 million in assets.

St. Mary's first announced its plans to open in Framingham in June. It announced the opening on Thursday.

To mark the opening, the credit union donated $2,500 to the city for a new bookmobile and is donating $100 for every new account opened at the branch up to $20,000 to the United Way of Tri-County Pearl Street Cupboard and Cafe in Framingham.
