How did you decide to volunteer with us?
I found this online when I was looking for opportunities to volunteer. I also wanted to stay close to home so it was a perfect fit.
What do you do when you volunteer?
I do a variety of things when I volunteer. I pack grocery bags, pack bags of produce, put an assortment of meat into other bags, and help people out to their cars with their groceries.
How does volunteering make you feel?
I really enjoy being here and helping. I have a good time with the people that work here.
Why do you think it's important for people to volunteer?
When you volunteer, I believe you become less self-centered. You think of others needs instead of your own.
If you work, can you tell us where and what you do?
I work with high school and college students for a Christian organization called Cru.
Tell us a story of a time when you knew your volunteering made a difference.
There was a time I was helping people bring groceries to their car. They were saying thank you to me and it was so sincere. I knew they truly appreciated it.
What's your best advice for someone interested in volunteering?
I think everyone should volunteer and do things to help others.
