I am walking in the United Way 5K for Suicide Prevention because it is a rising issue not only just in our country, but around the world, and it affects people of all ages. This campaign is important to me because every single day we lose people to suicide, which can almost always be prevented. Children and teens are beginning to see Suicide in the news and get the idea in their heads that it is their way out of their problems, as with older people as well! It is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. At Call 2 Talk we aim to talk people down and listen to their problems, and not just suicidal people, but anyone who is in crisis. Sometimes all people need is a listening, non-judgmental ear to listen to their problems, and to be understood. Please walk with us or donate to the Suicide Prevention Campaign.
