How Long Have You Been Working At WHEAT?

It will be two years in April.

What is your role at WHEAT?

I am the Manager at Hidden Treasures, our thrift store which sells clothing, household items, and more. We were closed for part of 2020 and I helped with the food pantry then. I have many titles!

What is a typical day like for you at WHEAT?

I open the store in the morning and get set up for the day. I oversee deliveries, pickups, and incoming donations. I sort donations and coordinate volunteers. I also run the register and price items that have been donated. When Hidden Treasures was closed and I worked at the food pantry, I helped set up everything for the day. I got the food at the Worcester County Food Bank, brought it back and then got it organized for distribution. When that was all done, I assisted the pantry clients with their food pickups.

What is your favorite part of working for WHEAT?

My favorite part of being here is that I love helping people. It makes all the work I do worth it. Even after a ten-hour day I still feel good.

What do you like to do outside of work?

My favorite thing to do is spend time with my kids outdoors.
